How to install ChromeOS Flex

  1. Check your model on Google's certified models list.
  2. Back up your files: installing erases the drive.
  3. In Chrome, add the Chromebook Recovery Utility extension and create a ChromeOS Flex USB (8GB+).
  4. Boot from the USB (Dell F12, HP F9, Lenovo F12).
  5. Try it live, then choose “Install ChromeOS Flex”.
