How to install Linux Mint
- Back up your files.
- Download Linux Mint (Cinnamon edition) from linuxmint.com.
- Write it to a USB stick (8GB+) with balenaEtcher or Rufus.
- Reboot and open the boot menu (Dell F12, HP F9, Lenovo F12).
- Choose the USB, try Mint live, then click “Install Linux Mint”.
- Follow the installer; pick “Erase disk” or install alongside Windows.
